President Trump did what he always does best. The good news is, for a change he didn’t tick off anybody or annoy one of our allies (or grab anything!) During the weekend, the president took time out and tweeted about the press conference that was held recently. Trump’s joy was justifiable since it was his first ever solo press conference as President of the United States.

During the press conference, the president made the ‘huge’ announcement of his pick for the next labor secretary, Alexander Acosta after his previous pick had to withdraw unexpectedly. Like everything else related to Trump, nothing but something extraordinary was expected. Trump is known for his showmanship both on and off camera. It didn’t take long for the president’s first ever press conference to turn into a sparring competition with members of the media. Donald Trump’s tweet read:

“Thank you for all the nice statements on the Press Conference yesterday. Rush Limbaugh said one of the greatest ever. Fake media not happy!”

What the president’s referring to here is Rush Limbaugh’s comments after the press conference where he criticized the media for spreading chaos, while calling the press conference the most effective he had ever seen. Limbaugh who said that that press is going to hate the president even more after his solo press conference, was also quick to point out that Trump did well in rallying his supporters. The talk show host said that Trump’s solo press conference was just what the Trump Administration needed. Limbaugh then went a step further and added that this is one of the best administrations that the US has ever seen.

Trump’s tweet also reflected his discontent with the media in general, something that he has not shied away from sharing with the public on multiple occasions. During the solo press conference, President Trump told reporters how dishonest the media had become by spreading fake news. Trump talked about how whenever he turns on the news, he sees stories of chaos, while according to him, the exact opposite is happening, as in, the new president and his administration are functioning like a well oiled machine, while the media is not showing the positives while focusing on the negatives.

Trump may have a point here. Recently, there seem to be a large portion of the media, particularly presenters at news channels who are showing their anger and hostility towards the president and his officials at every turn. Kellyanne Conway the counselor to the President and other members of the Trump administration can be seen constantly on channels such as CNN and MSNBC, having to defend the President’s every decision to anchors who either have no knowledge of law and legislature or prefer to vent their frustration on the current administration who won the so-called liberals in a fair election.

Senior CNN anchor Jake Tapper and others can be seen ridiculing every move regularly, some of which seems to be because of ratings freefall that CNN and MSNBC is going through, both of which have sadly turned into the mouthpiece for the extreme leftist.
