Do you find yourself getting lazy when it’s time to go to the gym? Or maybe you don’t have time to go to the gym at all due to crazy work hours. Well, you don’t even need to go to the gym when you can just exercise from home without using any of the gym equipment. Exercise is so important for you on a regular basis, not just for losing weight but to lead a healthy lifestyle and to stay fit. You won’t only see obese people working out to lose weight, you will also see many slim and fit people who work out in order to maintain their bodies and stay fit and healthy. Here are some common and very effective exercises you can do from the comfort of your home, which will make you forget all about the gym.

Walk

Walking is one of the best exercises anyone can do. It keeps your body active and it’s great for weight loss too because of the constant movement of the legs. If the weather is good outside, all you have to do is step out into your garden or patio for a walk. You can also walk up and down the stairs which is a great cardio workout for the lower portion of your body, especially the legs and thighs. If you don’t have stairs or a garden in your home, just walk around the house as much as you can until you can feel a burn in those legs.

Dance

People believe that dancing is just a waste of time and isn’t considered an exercise, but you’re wrong. Dancing is actually a very effective form of exercise. It involves a lot of cardio workout and requires full movement of the body. Dancing helps with building muscles and it requires you to stay on your feet. You also become more flexible and it relieves your stress. Dancing is not only great for weight loss but it can really take some weight off your shoulders when you just need to relax and get your mind off things, dancing is always fun.

Jumping Jacks

Jumping jacks are a great cardio exercise and they help with warming up before starting your workout routine. Jumping jacks are also fun and make you nostalgic when you think about the good old days when you used to do jumping jacks for fun and not for exercise. Jumping jacks warm up your entire body and are also effective for the legs and arms.

Crunches

The best abdominal exercise for you to do in the comfort of your own home is crunches. You can even do these while lying in bed or in your living room. These are great for building upper body strength and muscles. If you want a good looking stomach and abs, you can try doing crunches regularly and feel the burn in those abdominal muscles.

Push Ups

Pushups are one of the most difficult exercises for many people. It’s usually the least favorite exercise anyone ever wants to do. There are many variations for doing pushups; you can do them on your knees too, if that seems easier for you. Pushups are great for upper body strength and also strengthen the muscles in your chest area.
